The vegetable garden is inspiring and eggplant is the artists absolute favorite plant grown this is why she had to devote one piece this year to eggplant! The colors within this piece are sunshine yellows irradiating from the center to the scarlet red tomatoes on the vine warmed by the sun bordered by the gorgeous deep purple linens signifying the art quilts namesake. This piece is heavy, thick and substantial bringing a comforting warmth to the space. Quilted a single stitch at a time using several unusual fibers wool, alpaca, recycled water bottles, linen, silk, cotton, polished twine and these may appear tightly pulled or loose depending on the design, also some fibers may unravel as pulled by hand through 3-8 layers of textile this is the artists intention to add soft whisper and does not effect the structural integrity of the piece. This is a one of a kind piece and returns are not accepted. As in all of her pieces there is only one "Eggplant" and the art cannot and will not be reproduced. This piece is signed by the artists stitched signature on the front right bottom corner in sunshine yellow, signed and dated on the reverse in permanent ink. The reverse includes a hanging sleeve handsewn to accommodate the wood slat included.
The art will arrive wrapped in plastic for protection, shipped rolled including a strong wooden slat for easy hanging.
